How an oral liquids manufacturer running 14 SKUs replaced a gravity filler and manual capping with an LFS-240 rotary filler and AC-100 servo capper, cutting format changeover by 38% and tightening fill accuracy to ±0.5%.
Fourteen syrup and suspension SKUs in 60, 100 and 200 mL PET bottles ran on an 8-head gravity filler with semi-automatic screw capping. Each format change took around 210 minutes including nozzle strip-down and cleaning, fill variation of ±2.5% forced routine overfill, and inconsistent cap torque produced leaking bottles.
An LFS-240 rotary filler with flowmeter dosing, diving nozzles and a CIP manifold that clamps to all nozzles, linked to an AC-100 rotary capper with servo torque control and induction sealing. Format recipes store fill volume, nozzle depth, conveyor timing and torque, so a changeover is a change-part swap and a recipe selection.
38%
reduction in format changeover time (210 to 130 minutes)
±0.5%
fill volume accuracy at 200 mL, down from ±2.5%
0.1%
leaking-bottle rejects, down from 1.2%

An oral liquids manufacturer in Howrah, West Bengal, fills fourteen syrup and suspension SKUs across three PET bottle sizes. Demand had moved towards shorter runs of more products, so the line spent a growing share of every week in changeover rather than production.
